Can I use freebase juice in my pod system?

Freebase nicotine possesses a higher pH level, impacting its alkalinity. In simpler terms, freebase vape juices tend to carry a slightly more robust nicotine taste compared to nicotine salts. As nicotine content increases, the likelihood of perceiving the peppery aspect of nicotine intensifies. On the flip side, nicotine salts incorporate benzoic acid, which mitigates their alkalinity, purportedly delivering a milder throat hit and promoting nicotine vaporization at lower temperatures. Consequently, it's crucial to note that nic salts are engineered for use in low-wattage devices, such as pod systems.

The primary determinant for choosing between freebase vape juice and a refillable pod device lies in nicotine strength. It's important to highlight that freebase E-Liquids with a nicotine strength of 50mg should not be equated with 50mg nicotine salts. Any Vapor Vapes freebase liquids exceeding 30mg necessitate dilution before utilization. In technical terms, although you can utilize a 50/50 PG/VG blend* of up to 24mg in your refillable pod, it might result in distinct vaping experiences:

  • Lower freebase nicotine juices may not yield the same intensity as the nicotine salts you're accustomed to.
