I've had this charger for quite a while, it works really well for 18650, 20700 and 21700 battery charging, being able to see the actual voltage in the cell is really useful and it stops charging a specific cell once it reaches 4.2 volts. However, it seems to get confused with AAs ("normal batteries"). I've used AAs in this charger a few times and never had any issues, but one day I popped one in (a fairly new Energizer NiMH AA), made sure it was seated well, and the display registered the cell at 1.1V, went about my day, came back to it some hours later, tapped the display button, only to find that it had been charged all the way up to 3.0V! (NiMH AAs have a max charge of 1.2V) Needless to say I quickly chucked the, now very very hot, cell out immediately and have been very distrusting of the charger since, and never use it for AAs anymore. Perhaps the cell was at fault, perhaps it was this charger, but, either way, I wouldn't use this charger for AAs, it seems to sometimes confuse them for vape cells and wants to charge them up to 4.2V. Always check on your charger, never leave it to charge without some supervision, regardless of its brand, safety features, etc.
